Eritrea and Saudi Arabia Hold High-Level Talks on Trade, Energy, and Bilateral Ties
A senior Eritrean delegation is in Saudi Arabia on a diplomatic visit aimed at deepening relations between Asmara and Riyadh.
The delegation includes Hagos Kisha and Eritrea’s Minister of Trade Nasreddin. In Riyadh, they met the deputy head of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss ways of extending bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Eritrea.
A day earlier, the same delegation held talks with Saudi energy officials and the national oil company Aramco. Those discussions focused on concrete areas of mutual cooperation.
Also present at the meetings were Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwot, Chief Executive Officer of the Housing and Commercial Bank of Eritrea, and Mrs. Weyni Gerezgiher, Chargé d’Affaires at the Eritrean Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
