Ethiopian Military Jet Reportedly Crashes in Oromia as Oromo Rebels Capture Crash Site
An Ethiopian military aircraft was reportedly shot down in the East Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region on Tuesday morning, according to circulating social media reports.
The aircraft is said to have crashed around 4:30 a.m. in Gora Leman Kebele, Bora Woreda, after allegedly coming under fire.
Two pilots reportedly ejected using parachutes and were later rescued by Ethiopian National Defense Force commandos operating in the area.
The same accounts claimed that Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) fighters were present nearby and had taken control of the crash site.
